My first post

United Kingdom

As we were waiting for the plane to be ready, we got ready for bed as we do back at home.

On the plane we all started watching our own movies. Later we checked the channels. Mom found "At World's end".

In England we saw the Big Ben at first. We walked by the bay and had a great time. The next morning we went to Winsor. We saw the castle and almost every room. We saw the throne, the dollhouse, etc. Then it was time to leave.

To Jerusalem

In Tel-Aviv we found the hotel. In the morning we went to the beach. We were fascinated by the shells on the beach. Isreal was new to us. Now I'm used to it. All year it would be to us like the Pacific to California.

Our first night in Jerusalem was hard. We could only sleep for 4 hours because of the time change. The next morning we were wide awake. That night we went to bed early. It was hard. I felt closer to the ark than ever. Thunder and light swirled the sky, molten gold fell. I was afraid the ark was the idol from Babylon.

Christmas

Our grandma Shaffer came for this. We went to Bethlehem and ate in a tent. We sang carols by stables. A sister brought us to Jesus' birthplace. We returned for Christmas Eve. The next morning we opened presents and did a play. We mailed the film to Grandma S. later.

February

It began snowing as I looked through my window. That morning we left to the Gidon Park. On the hard court we started a snowball fight. Others joined in.

My dad went out to the city. In the apartment Noam came from upstairs. We made challah bread to keep ourselves warm. Dad brought back amazing photos of town.

Egypt

We went to Egypt with Grandma R and Bubba for my b-day. Our hotel room was overlooking the Nile. While driving the great pyramid is visible on your left.

In Giza we rented horses and camels. In a tent we planned our journey. We started out to the desert. We walked to the pyramids and went inside. We saw the Sphinx and it's temple. We stopped at a gift shop on a side view of the Sphinx.

We next went to a newly discovered tomb. We looked at writing and a statue. We drew deeper to the coffin. Mom stuck the video camera in the coffin.

We enjoyed the night on the Nile. We left Egypt spoiled.

Elat

We went to Elat with Mike and Erica. My family and I went snorkling. We saw many amazing creatures. I alone saw my own finds. Amazing fish came in the shallow.

Greece

In Corinth we had fun on the beach. It was exiting to be where Peter's been. The Mediterannean was fun to look at.

In Athens we saw the temples of Poseidon. One was on a cliff, one was on the top of a hill. The marble and carvings were interesting.

On the way to the peninsula we stopped at Olympia. We saw where they played games. We made hideouts and found fun things to do.

On the island of Zachynthos we rented a house from the farmer Deonesis. Our breakfast was straight from the farm..............................Greece is cool...............................................................

Goodbyes

We said goodbye to all our friends, even shop keepers. I had my last fun in Jerusalem.

That adventure is what I always think about. Once again, new adventures could be anywhere, as long as you believe in it.
